You deserve to be happy, not because you’re perfect but because you are.
Happiness isn’t a reward. It’s not something only perfect people get to have.
It’s something every individual has the opportunity to grasp.
You Deserve to Be Happy
not because you’re perfect but because you are.
You see, happiness has much more to do with contentment in life than anything else.
Each person… even you can reach out their hand and grab the “HAPPY” they desire. It’s right there just asking to be found.
You Deserve to Be Happy
not because you’re perfect but because you are.
Happiness is the sunshine after the rain. The smell of crisp cucumbers fresh from the pot, on the deck, in your tiny piece of oasis on Earth.
It’s the soft fuzzies of your blanket rubbing against your face as you watch your favorite movie.

Happiness isn’t the perfect life. It’s not all rainbows and butterflies.
No, happiness is found in the valleys. It’s realizing that no matter how bleak things are, you can CHOOSE who you are. You can choose to be content with life. You can choose to rise and say, “Here I am.”
I am free.
Free to smile. Love. Be.
Be the sunshine during the storm.
Be the light in the midst of great pain and darkness.
You get to choose your happy, and that should make you smile, Friend.
You deserve to be happy, not because you’re perfect, but because you are.
Why is Happiness Important
Happiness is important because happy spurs more happy.
Happy creates. It creates an environment of positivity, and that positivity grows confidence. Confidence blooms dreams, and dreams ask for goals.
Goals wake us up in the morning. They inspire us, and they keep us moving. Forward movement encourages us and allows us to see progress.
Progress… not perfection makes us look in the mirror and smile.
We are a beautiful work in progress and that should make us happy.

Tips to Create Your Own Happiness
1 – Remember that everyone has the opportunity for happiness… even when life is hard.
2 – Look in the mirror and forgive yourself. Be your best advocate.
3 – Surround yourself with people who make you smile. If you don’t know anyone, intentionally set one night aside each week to leave your comfort zone and make a friend… or two!
4 – Be present in this moment. Stop where you are, and find one wonderful thing to be happy about; one thing you’re thankful for.
5 – Get moving! Move your body. Go for a walk, dance, sing… move. It’s exhilarating.
6 – Watch a happy movie or listen to a happy song.
7 – Give. Giving changes your heart. Complete one act of kindness each week and see your happiness radar go through the roof.
